For more than 5 decades Law Enforcement Agencies, Specialist Security Groups, Special Forces Units and Military Forces within NATO and NATO allied countries have been supplied with small arms systems that not only fulfill but also exceed the strict requirements of these groups. Heckler & Koch adopts a "Weapon System" approach to small arms manufacture that not only meets the needs of the users but often exceeds their expectations and requirements and often tailoring models to individual operational requirements.
Heckler & Koch’s "Weapon System" approach incorporates the end user in the design and manufacture process, believing that the user is as much a part of the system as the weapon itself. As a result this approach offers a number of advantages, including:

- Modularity of components across many weapons.
- Reduced training time of the user.
- System and parts longevity resulting in reduced operating costs
Our products include; self-loading pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns and a 40 mm grenade machine gun. All of these weapons systems have been vigorously tested in the harshest and most extreme of conditions. Heckler & Koch will not pass it weapons as being ‘fit’ for operational service until all testing regimes have been met
Heckler & Koch has an extensive research and design capability, enabling it to meet the developing demands of industry. Through their own private funding or in collaborative aid with specific Government orders Heckler & Koch are constantly developing or improving on their weapons systems.
Heckler & Koch’s Quality Assurance System has been certified to EN ISO 9001 and meets the requirements of the NATO Quality Standard AQAP 2110.
